Busy Slides

Busy slides. I’m sure everyone has been in a talk where the slides had lots and lots and lots of text on them.

It makes sense why it happens, we’re trying to explain a potentially complex concept, and we’re wondering how we’ll remember what to say, so we put it all on the slides. The problem is where there is lots of text on a slide, attendees will often spend the time reading the slide and not listenting to the speaker?

If you do need to put more information on a slide, use progressive builds, one bullet, or one section, at a time. Taking that approach lets you have more information while keeping the audience focused on what you’re saying.
